Storesperson

The Storesperson will be required to receive, handle, store and issue company stocks of materials in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with company code of practice/operating procedures.
The responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
- Using established procedures to ensure all received stock is counted, documented, labelled and stacked in the appropriate locations.
- Ensuring all stock is kept in a satisfactory condition and damaged material is identified, quarantined and reported immediately to quality engineering.
- Ensure all demands for issuing material is done within the agreed timescales and in accordance with the stores code of practice.
- Maintain a clean and controlled working environment.
- To carry out regular stock-takes to agreed time scales.
- Monitor shelf-life constraints’, ensuring that such materials are reviewed on a periodic basis prior to expiry date.
Stores Person Specification:
- Right to live and work in the UK,
- Holds recognised fork-lift truck driving licence
- Basic IT Skills (Word, Excel)
- Previously worked in a similar role
This role will be worked over a 5 day week; Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. Flexibility in this role is critical to the success of supporting the team.
