Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our friendly veterinary practice team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments. This role is essential in ensuring that all areas are kept tidy and presentable, contributing to a safe and pleasant atmosphere for both staff and visitors. This position offers a 25 hour working week and is for late afternoon / evening hours. Applicants should include a letter of application as well as CV.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, Rotowashing, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in waiting room and reception, consulting rooms, kennel rooms and communal areas. Use of initiative and common sense is important in this role.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages to management.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infectious disease prevention (animals).
- Handle waste disposal in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks as required, including window cleaning and carpet maintenance.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards observed during cleaning duties.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals is advantageous.
- A conscientious attitude and attention to detail is important.
