The National Liberal Club, a prestigious private members' club in the heart of Westminster, is seeking a highly motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at our distinguished private members club in London.
Working with a passionate team of chefs to cater for our members dining areas & and banqueting suites. Creating eclectic menus and food styles drawing on influences from all over the globe to reflect our diverse and inclusive membership. Teamwork is at the heart of what makes our kitchen function, having a can do attitude and a customer focused mentality.
Led by the kitchen senior management team, you will be trained on various sections for the kitchen, adding knowledge and experience as you grow into the role
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within the designated section.
Work with the team to deliver high-quality, globally inspired dishes.
Ensure that all food preparation is carried out according to standard recipes and guidelines.
Maintain the highest levels of hygiene and food safety in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
Support the Chef De Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the senior kitchen team.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficiency and quality in food preparation.
Adapt to menu changes and implement necessary adjustments.
Uphold the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Demi Chef De Partie or Commis Chef in a professional kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced environment.
Excellent knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
Team player with good communication skills.
Passion for food and creativity in presentation.
Flexibility to work varied shifts.
