Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and wellbeing. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in clients’ conditions
- Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and team members to ensure personalised care delivery
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and comfortable environment
- Use IT systems to update care records and document relevant information
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving community visits or home visits
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues
Pay: £12.71-£12.91 per hour
