Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodworking CNC Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality wood products. The Operative should have a strong understanding of woodworking principles, excellent technical skills, and the ability to interpret design specifications to create precise and customized pieces.
Rate of pay: £15.92 an hour.
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time.
Working Hours: Split shift. Mon-Fri 6am-14:30. Mon-Thurs 14:00-23:00
Responsibilities:
1. Machine Setup and Programming:
· Prepare and set up CNC machines for wood processing according to design specifications.
· Program CNC machines using appropriate software to ensure accurate and efficient production.
2. Operational Duties:
· Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to design standards.
· Adjust machine settings to optimize production and maintain high-quality output.
· Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
3. Material Handling:
· Select and load raw materials onto CNC machines, ensuring proper alignment and adherence to Quality standards.
· Manage inventory of materials, notifying the supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
4. Quality Control:
· Conduct routine quality checks and inspections to identify and address any defects or discrepancies.
· Collaborate with the quality control team to implement improvements and ensure product excellence.
5. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
· Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during production.
· Collaborate with the maintenance team to assist in fault diagnosis.
6. Safety and Compliance:
· Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
