Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Turkish Grill Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for authentic Turkish cuisine and possess the expertise to prepare, cook, and serve traditional dishes with precision and flair. Duties
- Prepare and cook traditional Turkish grilled dishes, including kebabs, meats, and accompaniments, ensuring authentic flavours and presentation standards are met
- Manage food preparation processes, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations
- Assist in meal preparation during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies need replenishing
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with company recipes and quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment, preferably specialising in Turkish or Middle Eastern cuisine
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Previous experience working with grill equipment and managing meal preparation under pressure
- Familiarity with restaurant service operations and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience in serving guests directly is advantageous but not essential; a friendly attitude towards customer interaction is desirable
