Carrier Management:
Liaise with hauliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, couriers and other transport providers.
Documentation:
Prepare and check shipping documents, delivery notes, commercial invoices, packing lists and transport records.
Customs Support:
Work with customs agents and internal teams to ensure that import and export documentation is complete and accurate.
Customer Communication:
Provide professional shipment updates and respond to customer queries regarding collections, deliveries and transport schedules.
Rate and Booking Management:
Request freight quotations, compare carrier options and confirm bookings based on cost, service and delivery requirements.
Operational Problem-Solving:
Investigate shipment discrepancies, damaged goods, delivery failures and documentation errors.
System Updates:
Maintain accurate shipment information within freight, transport or warehouse management systems.
Compliance:
Ensure freight movements comply with company procedures, transport regulations and health and safety requirements.
Reporting:
Prepare operational reports covering shipment volumes, delivery performance, delays and outstanding issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve freight processes, reduce delays and strengthen communication across the supply chain.

Experience:
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, transport coordination, logistics or supply chain operations.
Industry Knowledge:
A practical understanding of freight documentation, carrier bookings, delivery scheduling and shipment tracking.

Familiarity with import and export processes is preferred, although full customs declaration experience is not essential.
Organisation:
Strong time-management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple shipments and changing priorities.
