Job Overview
Bathroom, Wet Room and Adaptations Installer
Location: North West England
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £18.50-£20 per hour depending on experience
Ready for a fresh opportunity?
Are you an experienced installer who takes genuine pride in a job well done?
Perhaps you are self-employed and tired of spending your evenings pricing work, chasing payments, ordering materials and worrying about where the next job is coming from.
Or maybe you are already employed but looking for somewhere you can feel valued, enjoy greater stability and become part of a business that is genuinely moving forward.
We are a growing North West company looking for a skilled bathroom, wet room and adaptations installer to join us at an exciting stage of our journey.
This is not just about filling a vacancy. We want to find someone who can grow with the business, become an important part of the team and take pride in the difference their work makes to our customers.
What will you be doing?
The role will involve a varied mix of:
- Standard bathroom installations
- Wet room installations
- Accessible bathrooms
- Disabled adaptations
- General plumbing and bathroom-related works
One week you may be completing a modern family bathroom, and the next you could be creating a safer, more accessible space that allows someone to remain independent in their own home.
That variety is a big part of the role. The work is practical and rewarding, and you will be able to see the impact of what you have achieved at the end of every project.
We would ideally like to find a multi-skilled installer who can manage most elements of a project independently. However, we are equally interested in speaking with experienced adaptations or wet room specialists.
We know that good tradespeople do not always fit neatly into a checklist. If you have strong core skills, a good attitude and take pride in your work, we would still like to hear from you.
Your day-to-day work may include
- Removing existing bathroom fittings
- Installing bathrooms, showers and wet rooms
- Carrying out domestic plumbing and pipework alterations
- Installing sanitaryware, shower pumps and bathroom furniture
- Fitting grab rails, specialist seating and accessibility equipment
- Bathroom-related carpentry and boxing-in
- Wall and floor tiling
- Minor plastering and patch repairs
- Flooring and basic decorating
- Completing final finishing and snagging
- Keeping customers informed throughout the installation
You will often manage your own projects and act as the main point of contact for the customer while the work is being completed.
For that reason, we are looking for someone who is not only technically capable, but also friendly, patient and respectful. Many customers may be elderly, disabled or dealing with mobility challenges, so the way we communicate and conduct ourselves is just as important as the finished installation.
What we are looking for
You should have:
- Previous experience installing bathrooms, wet rooms or accessible adaptations
- Strong domestic plumbing skills
- The ability to produce high-quality, professional work
- Good practical problem-solving skills
- The confidence to work independently
- A reliable and organised approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
- An understanding of site safety and trade compliance
- A full UK driving licence
Experience in the following areas would be beneficial:
- Tiling
- Carpentry
- Minor plastering
- Flooring
- Decorating
- General property maintenance
- Disabled adaptations and accessibility equipment
You do not need to be a master of every trade. We are looking for someone with solid experience, the right mindset and a willingness to work as part of a growing team.
Why join us?
We want to create the kind of company that good tradespeople want to stay with.
That means providing regular work, treating people properly and allowing installers to focus on what they do best without the constant pressures that often come with working for yourself.
The position includes:
- A permanent, full-time role
- A salary of £18, depending on experience
- Regular and consistent work
- Company van
- Fuel provided
- Paid annual leave
- Materials supplied for each project
- Work primarily across the North West
- Support from a friendly and growing local team
- No evenings spent quoting for jobs
- No chasing customers for payment
- No worrying about funding materials yourself
Most importantly, you will be joining a business with ambition.
As the company grows, we want the people who join us now to grow with it. There will be opportunities to take on more responsibility, help shape how we work and become a key member of the team.
Is this you?
You take pride in leaving behind a bathroom that looks right, works properly and has been finished with care.
You are comfortable dealing with customers and understand that you are working in somebody’s home, not just on another building site.
You are dependable, practical and able to find solutions when a job does not go exactly to plan.
You want consistent work, a good working environment and the chance to be part of something that is building momentum.
If that sounds like you, we would be pleased to hear from you.
Please apply with a brief overview of your experience, the types of installations you have completed and the areas of the North West you are able to cover.
Pay: £18.50-£20.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Additional leave
- Company car
- Company events
- Company pension
