Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold drinks, food and dessert, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring customers have a positive experience. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills within the hospitality industry while working in a vibrant, customer-focused setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, food and dessert, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, crepe, waffle and dessert.
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required
- Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during peak hours
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Previous Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the role
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently
- Good basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Friendly, approachable manner with strong communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when necessary
