Absolute Electrical Lincoln Ltd is looking for an experienced Solar PV Roofer to join our growing installation team.
We are an established, award-winning electrical and renewable energy company based in Lincoln, specialising in Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging and Electrical Installations for domestic and commercial customers.
With demand continuing to grow, we are looking for an experienced roofer who takes genuine pride in their workmanship, works well as part of a professional team and wants to build a long-term career within the renewable energy industry.
This is a permanent position – not subcontract or short-term work.

The Role
You will work as part of our Solar PV installation team, completing high-quality residential and commercial installations throughout Lincolnshire and surrounding areas.
You’ll work closely with our electricians, roofers, labourers, operations team and management to ensure every installation is completed safely, professionally and to the standard our customers expect from Absolute Electrical.
Your Responsibilities
- Installing Solar PV mounting systems and panels on a variety of roof types
- Setting out arrays accurately and professionally
- Leading or assisting roofing teams during Solar PV installations
- Working safely at height and following company Health & Safety procedures
- Ensuring installations meet our workmanship and quality standards
- Taking clear site photographs and installation evidence throughout each project
- Protecting customers’ homes and property while work is being completed
- Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
- Communicating professionally with customers, colleagues and the office team
- Identifying and resolving installation issues on site
- Helping ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
- Representing Absolute Electrical professionally when working at customers’ properties
Who We’re Looking For
We aren’t simply looking for someone who can fit panels.
We want someone who takes pride in how the finished installation looks, respects customers’ properties and understands that workmanship and customer service are just as important as completing the job.
You should have:
- Minimum 2 years’ roofing or relevant renewable installation experience
- Experience working safely on residential roofs
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent attention to detail
- Pride in your workmanship
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A reliable and organised approach to work
- Confidence working at height
- Full UK driving licence – essential
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following would be advantageous, although additional training can be provided for the right candidate:
- Previous Solar PV installation experience
- Working at Height qualification
- IPAF / PASMA
- ECS / CSCS card
- Experience across different residential roofing systems
- Commercial Solar PV or commercial roofing experience
