Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Inspection Technician to support our team in the efficient handling and maintenance of company vehicles. This role involves assisting with vehicle inspections, basic repairs, and logistical support to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge and be comfortable working with hand tools and power tools. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles to identify issues or maintenance needs
- Assist with vehicle cleaning, refuelling, and basic servicing tasks
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform minor repairs or adjustments as required
- Support the loading and unloading of equipment or cargo using appropriate lifting techniques
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Assist with organising vehicle schedules and ensuring timely dispatch and return of vehicles
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move equipment or parts as needed
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during vehicle handling and maintenance tasks
Experience
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance, mechanical work, or related fields is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical procedures is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
