Alloyed is a young venture-funded company of around 190 world-class metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers working across three sites in the UK and one in the US, building the future of advanced metal components. We use proprietary software packages which combine advanced machine learning and physical modelling, as well as extensive experimental facilities, to 3D print metal components better and faster than anyone else.
At our Oxfordshire premises we are aiming to build the world’s fastest, smartest, and best-equipped facility for the rapid development of additively manufactured parts for the electronics, aerospace and industrial sectors, and novel metal alloys for better performance.
Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Minibus Driver to transport employees between our Oxfordshire sites (Yarnton, Oxford City, and Abingdon). The role involves completing a set route twice daily (morning and afternoon), ensuring a safe, punctual, and comfortable journey for all passengers.
This is a part-time role with split shifts with a fixed schedule (morning + afternoon only), giving consistent hours on the same local route with no long-distance journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive the company minibus along a fixed route covering Yarnton, Oxford City, and Abingdon
- Complete scheduled pick-up and drop-off runs in the morning and afternoon
- Ensure timely arrival and adherence to the agreed timetable
- Conduct daily vehicle checks (fuel, tyres, cleanliness, general condition) and report any issues promptly
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit
- Adhere to all UK road safety regulations and company policies
Working Hours & Rate
Bus operates Monday-Friday
Morning : Collect the minibus from Head Office in Yarnton at 6:45am. Complete the planned route, returning at approximately 8:30am
Afternoon : Collect the minibus at 4.45pm. Complete the planned route, returning at approx. 7.30pm
Rate = £80 flat rate per day
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with entitlement for minibus driving
- Previous driving experience, ideally in a similar passenger transport role
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, friendly and reliable
- Ability to work independently and manage a set schedule
