Overview
English Papa is looking for an experienced UK Bid Writer / Bid Manager to help us expand our work with local authorities, schools and other public-sector organisations.
We are an established education provider with over 20 years of experience and are now developing our UK public-sector education business.
We are particularly interested in opportunities involving
1. Alternative Provision
2. SEND / EHCP tuition
3. 1-to-1 and small-group tuition
4. English / EAL / ESOL
5. Maths and Science tuition
6. Adult Skills and Employability
7. Education frameworks, DPS and approved provider lists
8. Local authority and school contracts
9. Relevant education grants and funded programmes
Responsibilities
- Find relevant UK public-sector opportunities
- Assess bid/no-bid opportunities
- Manage registrations on procurement portals
- Prepare and submit PQQ/SQ/ITT/framework/DPS applications
- Write high-quality tender responses
- Develop our reusable bid library and compliance documentation
- Advise us on safeguarding, policies, insurance, accreditations and other requirements needed to become an approved provider
- Help develop a long-term strategy for winning council and school contract
Experience
- Proven experience winning UK public-sector tenders
- Experience with local authorities and/or education/training contracts
- Strong knowledge of UK procurement processes
- Excellent written English
Highly desirable
- Previous work with Alternative Provision, SEND, tutoring, Adult Skills, ESFA/GLA-funded education or employability programmes
- Experience with education providers similar to Tutor Doctor, Targeted Provision, Fleet Education, MyTutor or other tuition/AP providers
- APMP qualification or substantial equivalent bid experience
- We are initially looking for a freelance / part-time specialist, with the potential for an ongoing relationship.
