The Crab & Lobster is a boutique hotel and restaurant, with 20 rooms spread throughout our grounds. We are looking for a friendly and positive character to join our hotel team as a Hotel Porter, to provide guest services throughout the afternoon and evening.
You will be working as part of a small friendly team and your duties will include welcoming and guiding guests to their rooms, being a point of contact for all visiting the hotel, general portering services, running the hotel bar, serving canapes, engaging with guests throughout their stay and helping to run small weddings and events. Stock control of the hotel bar and evening cash up will also form part of your duties.
Flexibility to cover night shifts when required is essential to this role
Usual hours of work are 2pm until 11pm, with flexibility to work alternative hours on event days. Night Shifts are 11 pm to 8 am
This role requires the ability to carry guests luggage to rooms spread throughout our grounds.
This is a part-time position, working an average of three shift a week, all applicants must be available for weekend shifts.
Good tips are paid in addition to the hourly rate.
Experience in hospitality is preferred for this position.
Qualifications
- Proven hotel experience in a guest-facing role
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Background in hospitality or related fields
- Excellent guest etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Due to our rural location you will need to have your own transport as public transport is not available.
