About the Role
Reliant Trading and Technology Services Ltd is looking for an IT Support Technician to provide day to day technical support across our business operations in Aberdare, Wales.
You will help maintain reliable access to computers, business applications, user accounts, printers, networks, and other workplace technology. The role is suited to someone who enjoys solving technical problems, supporting users, and keeping systems running smoothly.
You will work closely with colleagues across operations, administration, customer service, and commercial teams to resolve technical issues and support the effective use of business technology.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
Provide first line and second line support for desktops, laptops, printers, user accounts, business applications, and other workplace technology.
Hardware Support
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, monitors, peripherals, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
Software Support
Assist users with software installation, configuration, updates, application issues, and general troubleshooting.
User Account Administration
Create, update, and maintain user accounts, access permissions, passwords, and basic security settings.
Network Support
Assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues involving local networks, WiFi, internet access, and connected devices.
Microsoft Environment Support
Support users with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and related productivity applications.
Ticket Management
Record technical issues accurately, track progress, update users, and ensure support requests are resolved within appropriate timescales.
Equipment Setup
Prepare laptops, desktops, and other equipment for new employees and replacement users.
Technical Documentation
Maintain clear records of equipment, support procedures, common technical issues, configuration details, and completed work.
Security Support
Follow company security procedures and assist with antivirus protection, software updates, password practices, access control, and device security.
Asset Management
Maintain accurate records of computers, devices, licences, accessories, and other technology assets.
User Support
Explain technical solutions clearly and provide practical guidance to employees with different levels of technical experience.
What We Are Looking For
Experience
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, service desk, technical support, systems support, or a similar role.
Technical Knowledge
Good understanding of Windows computers, Microsoft 365, hardware troubleshooting, software installation, printers, user accounts, and basic networking.
Troubleshooting
Ability to investigate technical problems logically and identify practical solutions.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Networking, or a related field is preferred.
Tooling
Experience using Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, remote support tools, ticketing systems, and basic network troubleshooting tools.
Communication
Good written and spoken English with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non technical users.
Mindset
Patient, practical, organised, security conscious, detail oriented, and comfortable managing multiple technical support requests while maintaining good service standards.
Pay: £2,200.00-£2,500.00 per month
