Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients to support the cooking team
Help with cooking activities under supervision, ensuring meals are prepared efficiently and accurately
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and organizing utensils and ingredients
Support food safety protocols by following proper storage procedures and handling food items hygienically
Assist with serving food to customers or plating dishes as directed by the kitchen staff
Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored after use
Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting colleagues during busy service times
Requirements
Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
Understanding of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in a commercial kitchen
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
