Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings to evaluate structural integrity, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations
- Prepare detailed reports outlining assessment findings, recommended actions, and project scopes
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to develop effective building maintenance or refurbishment plans
- Provide expert advice on building regulations, sustainability practices, and risk mitigation strategies
- Analyze building data using specialized tools to identify issues early and propose cost-effective solutions
- Support the development of specifications for repairs, renovations, or new construction projects
Experience
- Proven experience as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction or property management industry
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical data and inspection results accurately
- Knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and sustainability practices
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail
