£12.71 to £13.20 per hour, depending on experience
Part time, Permanent. 17 hours per week, with extra hours available
We are a small independent sourdough bakery with shops in Gosport and Southampton.
Everything we sell is made by hand, and our Gosport shop runs on a two person team.
We are looking for someone to work alongside our shop manager and help run the day to day.
The role Serving customers and looking after the shop front.
Handling bread, pastries and cakes, keeping the displays full and looking their best. Taking and packing customer orders.
Cash and card handling.
Cleaning and closing down at the end of the day.
On your weekday shift you will be on your own, so you need to be comfortable working unsupervised.
The hours Thursday 07:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 07:00 to 14:00, so 17 hours a week.
You would open and close on the Saturday, with the manager in alongside you for the busiest part of the day.
We are closed Sundays and Mondays and there are no evening shifts.
There are also extra hours available a few times a year when the shop manager is on holiday.
We are not expecting anyone to cover a whole week on their own. If you can pick up two or three additional days during those weeks that is genuinely helpful, and if you are able to do more then even better.

What we are looking for Reliable and punctual, because in a two person team there is no cover.
Friendly and genuinely good with customers. Able to use your own judgement without someone looking over your shoulder.
Previous retail, cafe or bakery experience is welcome, and food hygiene training is a bonus, but we will train the right person.
