Job Summary
We are seeking a Housekeeping/Cleaning Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and comfort across our hospitality property. In this role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, ensure high standards of hygiene, and motivate your team to maintain a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a spotless, inviting atmosphere that enhances guest satisfaction and upholds the reputation of our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning procedures.
- Train new team members on cleaning protocols, safety procedures, and customer service expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Schedule shifts on a cover basis only
- Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment.
- Address feedback from Guest stays
- Enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with previous supervisory roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality industry standards and cleaning techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with staff and guests.
- Monday and Fridays required including 1 day during the week to assit with domestic cleans and cover holidays as needed.
- Bank holidays and Christmas holidays required to work set days to cover turnovers with the rest of the team this does not including christmas day.
