R. Plevins & Sons Ltd is a UK market leader in wood recycling and a manufacturer of animal bedding.
We have a vacancy for a 4 on 4 off Yard Operative to join the multi-tasking production team at our site based at Whams Road, Crow Edge S36 4HG, to assist with the processing of wood chip to meet customer requirements.
Duties will include:
· Full adherence to health and safety procedures and site rules.
· Picking out contaminates from wood passing on a conveyor belt and from tipped loads.
· General housekeeping duties, keeping areas clean and tidy.
· Dealing with plant stoppages.
· Ensuring plant and machines are fully cleaned down.
· Other general labouring duties as required.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team and will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
It is desirable to have experience of driving a FLT / a valid FLT licence.
Hours of work:
4 on 4 off shift pattern - 06:00-18:00 hours
Please note, this shift pattern includes some weekend working.
40.25 hours per week
