As we continue to grow, we’re now looking for an experienced and commercially driven Internal Sales Manager to lead our internal sales team and maximise performance across all conversion sales activity.
Role Overview
As our Purchasing Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting our Production and Purchasing teams by ensuring materials, parts and consumables are ordered, received and available when needed. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you'll help maintain accurate stock records, support supplier relationships and keep production running efficiently.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working in a varied administrative role within a busy commercial vehicle manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Procurement
- Purchase materials, parts and consumables in line with the production schedule.
- Raise purchase orders and place urgent orders where production requirements change.
- Order tools, equipment, office supplies and general site consumables.
- Create and maintain product codes, kit lists and purchasing records within the company system.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm deliveries, resolve queries and maintain strong working relationships.
Goods In & Stock Control
- Receive deliveries and check goods against purchase orders.
- Investigate and resolve shortages, damaged goods and supplier discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate stock records and support effective inventory control.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock counts and stock adjustments.
- Ensure materials are issued to production teams in line with build requirements.
Production Support
- Coordinate the timely availability of materials to support the production schedule.
- Support workshop teams with consumables and material requests.
- Assist with maintaining accurate product traceability and inventory records.
Administration
- Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and audit records.
- Support invoice query resolution alongside the Finance department.
- Maintain fuel ordering records and other site supply requirements.
- Provide cover for the Parts Administrator when required.
Requirements:
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, stores or administration role.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive or commercial vehicle industries.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the business.
- Experience using ERP, MRP or stock management systems.
- Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control processes.
