We are seeking a motivated Trainee Landscaper/Gardener to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, and watering plants to ensure healthy growth
- Operate hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes to carry out garden maintenance
- Use power tools safely for tasks like edging, trimming, and lawn mowing
- Help with the installation of new garden features and landscape elements
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by clearing debris and organising tools and materials
- Support the team in general landscape upkeep including fertilising and weed control
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during outdoor activities
Skills
- Basic knowledge of gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance practices
- Experience or interest in working with hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions from experienced team members
- Growing experience or a keen interest in horticulture is desirable
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in maintaining outdoor spaces
- Physical fitness to undertake outdoor tasks which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Enthusiasm for working outdoors in various weather conditions
