About Island Leisure Lodges
Island Leisure Lodges is a UK-based manufacturer of high-quality, bespoke timber buildings, specialising in holiday lodges with occasional residential and commercial projects. All buildings are manufactured and finished at our purpose-built facility near Almondbank, Perth, before being transported to sites across Scotland and the UK.
All of our buildings are completed entirely in-house, sometimes fully furnished, giving our customers a turnkey solution and our team the opportunity to work to a consistently high standard in a controlled environment.
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Perth-based manufacturing team. This role involves preparing and finishing interior and exterior surfaces across a range of modular buildings, ensuring every project meets our quality expectations.
Experience with spray painting and the use of Wagner spray equipment is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating, including filling, sanding, and priming
- Apply paints, stains, and varnishes to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Protect floors and finished areas using dust sheets and appropriate coverings
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Follow all health & safety requirements, risk assessments, and company procedures
- Store materials safely and correctly
- Work independently or collaboratively to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience in painting and decorating, ideally within new-build construction or renovation environments
- Strong understanding of surface preparation and professional finishing techniques
- Knowledge of health & safety practices, including COSHH, manual handling, and working at height
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider production team
- Full UK driving licence
