Job Overview
Overall responsibility for leading and managing HR operations for the business and developing/controlling all HR processes, procedures and management systems. Providing support & advice to ensure the business goals are achieved through our people. This role offers a supportive and engaging environment and work/life balance.
Responsibilities
Provide advice/guidance/support to staff, management/Board in all aspects of HR/the employee life cycle.
- Resourcing: Provide all necessary support for recruitment process; agree vacancy, advertise as appropriate, support selection including at any interview, provide contract and associated paperwork, verify “right to work” and induct
- Support line managers with employee relations issues including disciplinary action.
- Management of leavers, including resignations, terminations, end of contract, etc.
- Support any reward initiatives, including pay and benefits.
- Support training for staff, including identifying training needs and supporting eLearning
Provide information of changes to Payroll function to allow them to deliver accurate weekly/monthly payrolls, including absences, SSP, changes to pay, starters, leavers and payrolling of benefits.
Ensure compliance with employment law, adapting HR policies/practices to meet the business’s objectives, look for opportunities to improve business processes, ensure the BMS is current and support Line Managers & staff when communicating or implementing.
Provide accurate monthly HR reports to the Board of Management
Maintain accurate records and HR filing systems
Liaise and work with external providers and associates in delivering services.
Respond, and advise where necessary, to incoming day-to-day HR queries
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources management, preferably within a similar organisational context.
- Excellent communication skills; written verbal and listening.
- IT literate with knowledge of, and skills in, Microsoft and databases.
- Proactive, self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to act as a role model for the business, ensuring confidentiality and acting with integrity
- A recognised qualification in human resources is preferred.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
