Scott FPS Ltd is a well-established family run business based in South Wales with over 30 years’ experience in the fire industry. As a BAFE accredited company we strive on delivering the best quality workmanship for our valued customers. We are currently seeking a Route Planner to join our team based at our office in Barry. Working within a small team, as Route Planner you will have primary responsibility for scheduling work and ensuring the staff are utilised effectively throughout the day.
Responsibilities will include:
- Route and schedule daily workload for engineers providing accurate routing information.
- Act as an initial point of contact for engineers.
- Maintain and develop excellent client relationships and ensure high level of service is delivered.
- Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost-effectively
- Ensure that all current legislation and regulations are adhered to.
- Weekly stock take
Essential experience:
- Proven knowledge of geographical routes of South Wales and South West.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels, in a professional and polite manner.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Positive attitude, reliable and flexible.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- IT literate and proficient in using software to route and schedule work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Eligible to work in the UK.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday (40hrs) 8am – 4pm
Salary: Starting salary £26,400. Negotiable depending on experience.
Location: In person, office based - CF63 3AA
