Job Purpose
To provide high-quality legal advice, representation, and support on a broad range of Adult Social Care matters. The role involves managing a varied caseload, advising clients on complex legal issues, and representing the organisation in litigation and court proceedings while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Manage a caseload of Adult Social Care legal matters from instruction to conclusion.
- Provide timely, accurate, and practical legal advice to clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct litigation and represent the organisation in court and tribunal proceedings where required.
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, agreements, and correspondence.
- Advise on legislation, case law, and regulatory developments relating to Adult Social Care.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ensure legal services are delivered in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Attend team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal service.
- Qualified Solicitor of England and Wales or CILEX-qualified lawyer with the ability to undertake litigation as an authorised person.
- Candidates must hold the required professional qualification; unqualified applicants cannot be considered.
- Experience handling Adult Social Care legal matters and conducting litigation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and court procedures.
- Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and case management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Location: Lambeth, Remote working with attendance at the office 1 day per month for a team meeting.
- Hours per Week: 35 hours.
