Role Description
We are looking for a graduate furniture Cad technician with a
range of skills:
- Good communication and Cad drawing skills.
- Good understanding of furniture production and materials.
- Competent user of Solidworks.
- Ability to manage information and work across simultaneous tasks.
- Team player, looking for opportunities to work with others and improve our business performance.
- Accurate and thorough, with a strong work ethic.
- Previous experience in the Furniture industry is an advantage for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Consideration of client needs within review of detailed drawings with sales staff.
- Produce 3d Models and clear accurate production drawings for the workshop.
- Generate cutting list and bill of materials.
- Review models with workshop to generate continuous improvements.
- Research and ensure any bought in components work with the design.
- Ensure efficient use of materials and time.
- Provide purchase order requirements for bought in goods within the projects.
- Closely work with other members of the team to ensure delivery and installation deadlines are met.
Job Type: Full time, Permanent, office based 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday, with customer and site visits.
Salary: £ Negotiable depending on experience + benefits, and opportunities for development.
