Currently Best Boutique in the UK by The Sunday Times, named as ‘The New Wave of Seaside Hotels’ by The FT and recently (Feb 26) named ‘One of the South Coast’s most characterful boutique stays’ by The Times. The Rose is a restaurant & bar with 8 bedrooms, in the heart of Deal, on the Kent coast, that opened in 2018.
Since then The Rose has become something of an institution in the area, continuing to draw locals and visitors alike and gaining attention from press and influencers. It continues to strive for impeccable standards of service and, with the highest quality of food, wine and cocktails.
In 2024, The Rose owners added a seafront townhouse to the group. The Blue Pelican, under head chef Luke Green, is a Japanese-inspired restaurant on the ground floor that has gained huge praise among the critics. While upstairs is The Pelican Rooms, a yoga studio and treatment rooms that all add to The Rose experience.
We are looking to build our kitchen team ahead of a busy Summer and searching for an enthusiastic, dedicated Sous Chef with experience who has a passion for food and hospitality.
