Salary & BenefitsYour Earnings
Hourly Rate: £13.75
Sleep-in Allowance: £45 per sleep
Annual Salary
Basic Salary
- 40 hours per week
- £28,600 per annum
Sleep Payments
- Approximately 10 sleep-ins per month
- Paid over 11 months
- £4,950 per annum
Expected Annual Earnings£33,550 per year
(plus overtime opportunities and additional sleep-ins)

Your Role
As a Residential Children's Care Worker you will:
- Build trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Provide therapeutic, nurturing day-to-day care.
- Support education, hobbies, independence and life skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour through trauma-informed approaches.
- Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
- Complete high-quality daily recordings and reports.
- Work alongside families, schools, therapists and professionals.
- Support young people to attend appointments and activities.
- Be a positive role model every single day.
- Work a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

About You

You will be:

- Organised with good IT and written skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to complete it.
- Experience supporting children and young people.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Experience
- Children's residential care experience.
- Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- Therapeutic or trauma-informed practice.
- Medication administration.
- Shift leading experience.
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
