About the Role
Seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to lead the continued growth of our wider Defence business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver the business development strategy for the Defence sector.
Build lasting relationships with customers across the MoD, prime contractors, shipbuilders and the wider defence supply chain.
Identify and secure new opportunities for our filtration, lubrication, cooling skid and control system solutions.
Grow existing customer accounts whilst developing new strategic relationships.
Represent the company at exhibitions, networking events and industry conferences.
Work closely with engineering and project delivery teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
About You
We welcome applications from experienced business development professionals as well as Service Leavers and Veterans who can demonstrate the commercial awareness and relationship-building skills required for this role.
You may have gained your experience within the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Army, Royal Air Force or the wider defence industry.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Experience developing relationships within the defence and/or engineering sectors.
An understanding of the UK Defence environment and procurement landscape.
The ability to build credibility with senior military officers, MOD stakeholders and commercial partners.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with the confidence to identify and develop new opportunities.
Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate customer requirements into engineering solutions.
Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships.
The ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with technical teams.
Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential. We are equally interested in individuals who have developed strong stakeholder engagement, operational planning, project delivery or account management experience during a military or defence career and are looking to transition into a commercial business development role.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
