Location: Whitehaven and surrounding areas
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, Term Time Only
Pay Rate: £130 - £200 per day (dependant on experience & qualifications)

Job Description:
As a Supply Primary Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of primary school settings, supporting pupils and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and effective lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
- Following lesson plans and adapting activities to meet the needs of pupils.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Maintaining strong behaviour management and clear classroom expectations.
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
- Assessing pupils’ understanding and providing appropriate feedback.
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed.
- Working effectively with teaching assistants and other members of school staff.
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism across different school settings.
Must Have:
- Primary QTS.
- Professional experience supporting and teaching children within a school setting.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- A confident, adaptable and positive approach to teaching.
- Right to Work in the UK.
- A valid Enhanced DBS for Child Workforce on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- Ability to reliably commute to schools.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and development.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching across different year groups within primary education.
- Experience working with SEND pupils.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Phonics experience.
- Experience working within EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new school environments and routines.
