- Location: Various Locations across Grantham
- Reports to: Head of Service - Supported Accommodation
- Terms: 42 hours per week - With flexibility including evenings and weekends on rota.

Job Purpose:
To provide high-quality tenancy sustainment and support services to residents in supported accommodation. The HSO will ensure tenants are able to maintain their tenancies, live safely, and access the support they need, while also ensuring properties remain compliant, safe, and well-managed.
Person Specification & Qualifications
- Experience in supported housing, tenancy sustainment, or working with vulnerable adults.
- Strong knowledge of housing management and tenant support issues (e.g., benefits, safeguarding, tenancy rights/responsibilities).
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Level 3 Health & Social Care or Housing qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Training in trauma-informed practice, safeguarding adults, mental health awareness, or substance misuse.
- Experience of working within homelessness, social housing, or support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct face-to-face (F2F) one-to-one (121) support to tenants to help them sustain their tenancy, including budgeting, welfare benefits, and daily living skills.
- Conduct regular scheduled F2F reviews with tenants to assess needs, progress, and risks.
- Provide crisis support and safeguarding interventions through direct 121 contact
- Support tenants to access external services (healthcare, mental health, substance misuse, employment support, training, etc.) through signposting and warm handovers.
- Promote independence while ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met.
- Conduct property inspections and report repairs, maintenance, and health & safety issues.
- Support with tenant onboarding, inductions, and move-ins.
- Manage voids, room turnarounds, and coordinate contractors.
- Maintain accurate tenant records, support plans, and case notes.
- Respond to low-level ASB or tenancy breaches and escalate where necessary.
- Act as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, ensuring correct reporting in line with policy
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, landlord requirements, and local authority standards.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and reviews as required.
- Work closely with the HSO Team Lead and Tenancy Coordinators to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Participate in rota-based out-of-hours cover (where applicable).
- Attend training, supervision, and team meetings.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement.

- Mobile and In-Person intervention for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, keeping them in touch with the relevant authorities/framework organizations and local resources.
- General support to vulnerable tenants, wellbeing.
- Reporting and Feedback Maintenance and Implementation.
- In person signing of documents with tenants such as license agreements, and hand delivering warnings/terminations when applicable
- For non-contactable tenants, passing on and gathering information where applicable.
- Tenants requiring Supported Accommodation will need to be referred to the correct services.

- Tenants sustain their accommodation with reduced risk of eviction
- Properties remain compliant, safe, and well-managed.
- Effective relationships maintained with tenants, providers, and external agencies.
- Accurate, timely, and compliant reporting and record-keeping.
Pay: £29,120.00 per year
