Experienced Weekend Bar Staff
The White Horse, Heath Charnock
Approximately 10 hours per week initially, with opportunity for additional hours as the business grows
The White Horse is a busy and growing community pub in Heath Charnock, and we are looking for an experienced member of bar staff to join our weekend team.
This role is specifically to help cover our busiest trading periods, including Saturday and Sunday afternoons, live entertainment, football and special events.
For this reason, previous bar experience is essential.
We need someone who is confident working behind a busy bar and already understands the basics of pub service, including serving draught beer, spirits, wine and soft drinks, using a till and providing friendly, efficient customer service.
You must be comfortable working at pace and able to remain calm when the bar is busy.
Flexibility is extremely important to us.
Pub trading can be unpredictable. While shifts will have scheduled hours, there may be occasions when the pub is particularly busy and we need team members to remain on shift a little longer to help the team and ensure the bar is properly covered.
We are looking for someone with a team mentality who understands that, in a busy pub environment, everyone sometimes needs to pull together.
The role will initially offer approximately 10 hours per week, predominantly at weekends. However, there is genuine potential for additional hours as the business continues to grow.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous bar experience
- Is available to work weekends
- Can confidently work behind a busy bar
- Is reliable and punctual
- Is flexible around shift finishing times when the pub is exceptionally busy
- Works well as part of a team
- Is friendly and confident with customers
- Can work efficiently without constant supervision
- Is willing to follow our till, stock and wastage procedures
