Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer (Civil) to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and liaising with clients and contractors. A strong understanding of civil engineering principles, combined with electrical experience, will be advantageous in delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression
- Monitor health and safety compliance across the site, implementing necessary measures to mitigate risks
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are maintained
- Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for project stakeholders
- Assist in planning project schedules and resource allocation to meet deadlines
- Oversee the installation of electrical systems where applicable, leveraging electrical experience to ensure proper integration
- Resolve technical issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain project momentum
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role within civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, materials, and safety regulations
- Electrical experience is highly desirable to support integrated systems installation and troubleshooting
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Use of one man auto station and Autocad software.
- Valid UK driving licence preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to changing project needs
Pay: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
