Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our educational team. The successful candidate will support classroom teachers in delivering high-quality education and tailored support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Duties
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons under the supervision of teaching staff, ensuring individualised support for pupils with diverse needs.
- Support pupils with special educational needs, including those with autism, to promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work directly with children, providing tutoring and mentoring to enhance their understanding and confidence across various subjects.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Support pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and extracurricular activities as required.
- Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupils’ progress, maintaining accurate records of achievements and areas for development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure personalised learning plans are effectively implemented.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of special education needs, including working with individuals with disabilities and autism spectrum conditions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Experience in tutoring or mentoring students to improve their academic performance and confidence.
- Organised and proactive with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour, demonstrating a genuine commitment to supporting children's development.

Pay: £110.00-£130.00 per day
