Overview of role

Location: West Bromwich, West Midlands

As Reliability Engineer, you’ll take ownership of engineering performance within a designated area of the site, ensuring machinery, systems, and services operate safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies
Driving improvements in plant reliability, efficiency, and product quality
Leading continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and costs
Managing planned preventative maintenance schedules
Carrying out and supporting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations
Presenting weekly engineering KPIs and performance updates
Supporting manufacturing teams to maximise plant output
Managing contractors and plant overhauls in line with RAMS and site standards
Ensuring engineering procedures and documentation remain audit compliant
Supporting a strong Health & Safety culture across site

Who we are looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical engineering knowledge with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential Skills & Experience

Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline
City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent)
Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
Project engineering experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good IT and PC literacy
Ability to influence, engage, and work collaboratively across teams
