Redwing Coaches of London based in Croydon, part of the Skills Group, are looking for experienced coach drivers to join our existing driving teams for an immediate start. Offering you a variety of shift patterns to suit, you'll be carrying out various types of work.
Our shift patterns are offering flexibility, designed to meet our needs of the business and your work-life balance, and can include -
- Full-time - guaranteed minimum 140 hours per month.
- Part-time - flexible working to suit your availability.
- Term-time - working Monday to Friday (split-shifts) during school terms with overtime available.
Our types of work are varied, meaning no two-days are often the same, including
- Private Hire, taking across the UK & into Europe.
- Tours across UK & Europe (involving nights away)
- Airport & Ferry terminal Transfers
- Guided day Tours, exploring vibrant cities and landmarks.
- School services & shuttles, providing essential transport for our future generations.
- Commuter services into London, providing comfortable transport between Kent and London.
- Scheduled inter-city service routes, connecting people with cities.
- .....plus much more.
We operate a fleet of mainly Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches all kept and maintained by our in-house engineering team, meeting DVSA standards.
We ask you have the following:
- Full UK driver's license with minimum 2 years PCV driving experience, with no more than 3 points.
- Valid CPC of at least 2 years validity remaining.
- Valid digital drivers card (tachograph).
- Hold an existing or able to pass a satisfactory EDBS check.
- Checkable work history.
- Right to work & reside in the UK.
Whatever you are looking for, we can probably offer you a position to suit. All we ask is that you are experienced in working on your own initiative or as part of a team, you will be able to demonstrate good route planning skills, deliver great customer service, have sound geographical knowledge, provide a safe and professional driving attitude to your passengers even under pressure with a clean driving record and a good understanding of tachograph & drivers hours regulations. Standards of our vehicles, drivers and the service we deliver are paramount to our customers, ensuring they come back and travel with us again. You will be required to dress in our company supplied uniform, maintain and keep our coaches clean and assist passengers at every opportunity, including providing route & travel information, giving guidance, loading of luggage etc.References will be required from previous industry employers, and will you also need to be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
Ideally, you should live within an approximate 60-minute commute to our yard, as some days, your shifts maybe long and varied.
Our business operates 24 hours a day, 7 days week all year round, including bank holidays, and you will be required to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our clients. This can include early morning starts, late night finishes and working through the night, sometimes with just 9 hours rest in between shifts.
