About the business
We're a fast-growing London food manufacturer supplying restaurant-quality prepared meals to hotels, restaurant groups, contract caterers and hospitality operators across the UK. Our customers use our food to run full menus with a fraction of the kitchen labour – no chefs on the early shift, no waste, consistent quality every service. The range was developed with a Michelin-trained chef team and is produced in our own accredited facility.
We're profitable, founder-led and growing on the back of word-of-mouth and repeat orders. We're now building a national sales team to take that to the next level.
The role
You'll own new-business growth across the UK. In practice that means:
- Opening doors with hotel groups, restaurant groups, contract caterers, B&I/workplace dining operators, sports clubs and leisure venues
- Running the full cycle: prospect → tasting/site visit → trial → rollout → account growth
- Working your existing network on day one – we expect your first deals to come from people who already trust you
- Visiting customers in person (we'll expense travel); this is a field role, not an inside-sales seat
- Feeding market intelligence back to the founders – what operators are asking for, what the competition is doing
- Keeping your pipeline up to date in our CRM – light-touch, but we do run on data
What we're looking for
- 2+ years selling food or drink into foodservice – distributor, contract caterer, or a food brand selling direct to operators
- A live book of relationships with GMs, F&B managers, operations directors, procurement or catering directors
- Comfortable talking GP, labour cost and menu engineering with an operator – you don't need to be a chef, but you need to speak their language
- Self-managing: you plan your own week, your own territory and your own pipeline
- Full UK driving licence
Nice to have
- Kitchen or chef background
- Experience selling a labour-saving or "solution" proposition rather than a commodity line
- Existing relationships in hotels, restaurant groups or B&I specifically
What you get
- £35–45k base depending on experience
- Above-market revenue-share commission – you earn a share of the revenue from every account you bring on, paid monthly and uncapped. It's deliberately generous: for someone who genuinely delivers, this is a very lucrative package.
- Business travel expensed
- Direct line to the founders; decisions made in days, not quarters
- A product that sells itself once it's in the oven – your job is getting it into the oven
How to apply
Apply with your CV and two lines on the biggest account you've opened from cold. Shortlisted candidates will have a short video call, then a tasting and site visit in London.
We are an equal opportunities employer. We'll tell you who we are on the first call – we keep the company name off the ad for competitive reasons, not because there's anything to hide.
