About the Role
JEC Sparks Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable electrician to join our growing team.
The role will be varied, with a large part of the position involving electrical maintenance and call-out work for our block management and property management clients across London and the surrounding areas.
You will generally be attending jobs independently, fault finding and completing repairs, so we are looking for someone who is confident working on their own, dealing professionally with clients and taking responsibility for jobs from start to finish.
Alongside the maintenance work, you will also work with the rest of our team on larger commercial and residential projects from time to time.
Typical Work Will Include
- Electrical fault finding and repairs
- Block management and communal-area maintenance
- Emergency lighting repairs, testing and maintenance
- Lighting and power faults
- Consumer unit and distribution board works
- Door entry and access control systems
- Fire alarm maintenance and minor works
- Electrical testing and inspection
- Small installation and remedial works
- Attending reactive electrical call-outs
- Working on larger electrical installations and projects when required
- Completing job reports and providing clear information on any further works required
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified and experienced electrician
- Has strong fault-finding skills
- Is comfortable working independently
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable, organised and punctual
- Can communicate professionally with clients, property managers and residents
- Is comfortable using a phone/app to receive jobs and complete reports
- Can work as part of a team on larger projects
- Has a full UK driving licence
Experience working within residential blocks, communal areas or for property/block management companies would be beneficial, but isn’t essential for the right person.
Qualifications
Ideally you will hold:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition
- 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent would be advantageous
- ECS/CSCS card would be advantageous
