The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Food & Beverage Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of our food and beverage department. Working closely with the General Manager and departmental leaders, you will help deliver outstanding guest experiences across our restaurant, bar, meetings and events, room service, and banqueting operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Support
- Assist in the daily management of all food and beverage outlets.
- Ensure high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- Support the smooth operation of restaurant, bar, room service, and conference & banqueting activities.
- Act as a duty manager when required.
Team Leadership
- Support the recruitment, induction, training, and development of team members.
- Assist with staff scheduling and rota management.
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest service.
- Conduct team briefings and support performance management processes.
Guest Experience
- Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and outstanding service.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest feedback and complaints.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Commercial Performance
- Support the achievement of departmental revenue and profitability targets.
- Promote upselling opportunities and drive sales initiatives.
- Assist in monitoring labour costs, stock control, and departmental expenses.
Meetings & Events
- Support the delivery of conferences, weddings, banquets, and special events.
- Ensure all event requirements are delivered to a high standard.
- Liaise with guests and event organisers to exceed expectations.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain company standards and operating procedures.
- Support regular audits and stock checks.
About You
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel, restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Financial awareness with experience of stock control and cost management.
- Knowledge of food safety and health & safety requirements.
- Experience with hotel or restaurant POS systems is advantageous.
- Personal Licence is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours
This is a full-time permanent position requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays in line with business needs.
