Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and organise the care team, responding to the changing needs of service users.
- Allocate shifts and compile care schedules, ensuring suitable staffing and coverage.
- Maintain accurate records, including care plans, risk assessments, and reviews.
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, choice, and meaningful activity for all service users.
- Liaise with local authorities, health professionals, hospitals, and third-party contractors.
- Support and upskill team members through guidance, observation, and mentoring.
- Ensure timely care delivery and uphold high care standards.
- Monitor care practice, address concerns, and escalate where necessary.
- Communicate shift expectations clearly and facilitate team collaboration.
- Promote and ensure adherence to safeguarding, confidentiality, GDPR, and health & safety.
- Participate in care planning and ensure accurate, relevant documentation.
- Provide flexible support, including covering Team Leader shifts as needed.
- Be a positive role model, supporting new staff and maintaining the service’s values and ethos.
