HGV Class 2 Driver / Driver Operative
Salary: £40,000 to £47,500 per year based on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday only, no weekends
Location: Bedford
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Bonus: Performance bonus up to £500 per month
Main Duties
- Drive vehicles from 3.5-tonne vans up to 18-tonne rigid lorries
- Collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste from commercial customers across the UK
- Help with site clearances and waste removal projects
- Load and unload waste containers and electrical equipment
- Complete transport and waste paperwork
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
- Provide excellent customer service and work safely at all times
Requirements
- Category C (Class 2) licence
- Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Ideally 2 years' commercial driving experience
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
- Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and outdoor work
