Teaching Assistants – Primary School
Now Education Liverpool is recruiting Teaching Assistants on behalf of a welcoming mainstream primary school in Liverpool (L7).
The school is looking to strengthen its support team across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with several full-time opportunities available. The roles will involve supporting pupils with their learning and development, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
For the right candidates, there may also be opportunities for the positions to become permanent.
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, full-time, term-time only.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, or in the school SEND Base depending on your experience and preferences
- Providing classroom, 1:1 and small-group support
- Supporting children with needs such as Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning needs etc.
- Assisting with phonics, literacy, numeracy and curriculum activities
- Adapting resources and activities to help pupils access learning
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and emotional regulation
- Helping children develop their confidence, communication and independence
- Working closely with teachers, the SENDCO and other Teaching Assistants
- Creating a positive, safe and inclusive environment where pupils feel supported
We'd love to hear from candidates who:
- Have previous experience working with children within a primary school, nursery or similar educational setting
- Have experience supporting children with SEND, or are keen to develop within this area
- Are caring, patient and able to build positive relationships with children
- Have a proactive approach and are confident using their initiative
- Work well as part of a wider school team
- Are reliable and able to commit to a long-term position
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children's education and wellbeing
