Primaflow F&P Wholesale have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Supervisor to join our fast paced business and friendly team, where we work hard to simply deliver more for our customers and colleagues.
The role we're recruiting for:
You will supervise the team of drivers within a fast paced next day delivery RDC, driving health and safety and excellence through our service offering for our customers.
Monday-Friday 10am-7pm (40 hours)
You will:
- Check and review health and safety and transport compliance at the site, proactively developing Stay Safe improvements and culture.
- Plan and review delivery routes to maximise vehicle utilisation and fuel efficiency.
- Respond to changes in resource requirements.
- Coach and give feedback to drivers to ensure compliance with current legislation and deal with infringements promptly.
- Ensure that vehicles are inspected and maintained as per the company requirements and in accordance with goods vehicle operator's licence.
- Possess the ability to make decisions quickly with a flexible and logical attitude to problems - erratic volumes, vehicle breakdowns, delays.
- Have knowledge and understanding of financial aspects of operating a commercial vehicle fleet - numerate and analytical.
- Conduct investigations and return to work interviews etc as required
- Display a thorough and meticulous approach to work, ensuring high standards are consistently met
It would be great if you had:
Previous experience in a Transport Supervisor / Transport Planner role with a strong focus on health and safety, With the ability to motivate the team, communicate effectively and improve standards and performance.
HGV Driver licence with CPC training would be beneficial but not essential with a good understanding of Transport legislation and best practise. Good computer skills, strong organisation skills and attention to detail, Good communicator - both written and verbal skills.

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
