The Role
We’re working with a law firm looking to add a Junior or Newly Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer to its busy Landlord & Tenant Litigation team.
You’ll initially work under supervision, with the opportunity to develop towards independently managing smaller matters while supporting colleagues on more complex cases.
Your work will include:
- Handling possession proceedings and landlord & tenant disputes
- Drafting notices, court applications and other legal documents
- Issuing possession claims and progressing matters through the courts
- Working on defended and more complex litigation
- Preparing instructions for advocates and Counsel
- Liaising with clients, defendants, courts, solicitors and managing agents
- Keeping clients informed throughout their matters
You’ll ideally have a basic understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes, alongside strong organisation, client communication and attention to detail. Specific Landlord & Tenant experience would be useful, but isn’t essential as training can be provided.
If you’re an NQ or junior lawyer looking for a role where you can genuinely develop your contentious experience rather than simply being handed a caseload and left to it, apply now for a confidential discussion.
Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we’d still be happy to hear from you as we recruit for a variety of legal opportunities across the local area.
Your application will not be sent to our client without us speaking with you first and discussing the opportunity in detail.
