Operations Services - Financial Crime Operations department is responsible for ensuring that all financial crime risks in Bank of China (UK) Limited and Bank of China Limited London Branch (jointly referred to as the Bank) are identified, managed or mitigated within the first line of defence (1LoD). A key component of the department’s coverage is responsibility for the Bank’s operational adherence to the UK regulatory requirements, namely with regards to Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Fraud Prevention and Management, Sanctions Screening, Transaction Monitoring and the provision of adequate training and support to the front line business. As an Associate Client Onboarding Operations - Mandarin Speaking, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Onboarding & CIF Management team. You will be responsible for the creation of Customer Information Files (CIF) for Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions clients while ensuring data integrity. This is a full time permanent position.
Key responsibilities

Create CIFs ensuring all customer data are entered into the system in an accurate manner, in line with customer type

Cross check new customer information (e.g. passport, address) against the account opening form

Check existing customer information against the CIF amendment form (if any)

Check that relevant customer information in the system complies with the account opening standards

Liaise with branches in relation to making amendments and monitoring progress

Assist with CIF reporting tasks

Perform daily and monthly analysis of potential data errors and liaise with branches on the findings

Liaise with IT Centre (Europe) and Head Office in relation to CIF reporting and testing

Participate in system upgrades and testing outside working hours, including weekend on rota basis, as and when required

Undertake other ad hoc tasks and participate in projects when required
Requirements

Degree educated in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant subject

Experience in data entry or operational roles, preferably within Financial Services or Banking sectors

Prior experience in an IT role is a plus

Knowledge of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) is a plus
