Tabitha's Coffee is an independent specialty coffee shop built on exceptional coffee, genuine hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences.
Since opening, we've grown rapidly and are now entering an exciting new stage of development. We're looking for a General Manager who wants more than just running shifts — someone who wants to help build, improve and shape a growing hospitality business.
This is an opportunity to work closely with the founders, lead a talented team and play a key role in the future growth of the company.
The Role
As General Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the business while driving team performance, accountability, operational excellence and continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys developing people and is excited by the challenge of helping scale a growing independent brand.
You won't just manage the business — you'll help shape it.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team

- Support team development and progression pathways
Operations
- Oversee daily shop operations
- Ensure consistently high standards of service, quality and cleanliness
- Maintain strong workflow and shift organisation
- Drive operational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement
Commercial Performance
- Manage labour effectively
- Monitor stock control and minimise waste
- Support profitability and business performance goals
- Take ownership of operational challenges and proactively implement solutions
Recruitment & Development
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training initiatives
- Help build future leaders within the team
- Contribute to long-term people and growth strategies

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Previous management experience within hospitality, specialty coffee, retail or another fast-paced customer-facing environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience delivering feedback and managing performance
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused under pressure
- Strong operational awareness and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with systems, structure and accountability
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership
Desirable
- Specialty coffee experience
- Experience growing or scaling hospitality businesses
- Experience recruiting and developing teams
- Understanding of labour management, stock control and business performance metrics
