We are seeking a Senior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Seamill Hydro Hotel. As Senior Sous Chef, you will play an integral role in our culinary leadership team, working closely with our Head Chef to manage and elevate all kitchen operations. - Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day management of the kitchen, deputising in their absence.
- Leading your team to deliver exceptional food quality, presentation, and service across the restaurant, weddings, and events.
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to consistently high standards.
- Supervising, coaching, and developing junior chefs to support their growth and maintain a positive team culture.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, menu costing, and minimising waste to maximise efficiency.
- Ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and health safety are maintained at all times.
- Working collaboratively with front-of-house and wider hotel teams to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen.
- Experience working within a hotel or busy restaurant environment, with banqueting experience advantageous.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Professional cookery qualifications and a good understanding of stock control and kitchen costing.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for developing others and delivering exceptional food.
