Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of patient areas, consultation rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and staff facilities using appropriate commercial cleaning techniques and equipment
- Ensure all surfaces, floors, and fixtures are sanitized regularly in accordance with health and safety standards
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure storage areas are organized and secure
- Follow infection control procedures meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and maintain hygiene standards
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to ensure a safe environment for all users
- Maintain detailed cleaning logs and record completed tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support the overall cleanliness of the surgery by participating in periodic deep cleaning activities as scheduled
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, preferably within healthcare or hospital settings
- Familiarity with hospital or medical environment cleaning protocols and infection control procedures
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety guidelines to ensure effective and safe operations
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Good physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills to report issues clearly and follow instructions accurately
