Future Minds Tuition Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and knowledgeable Maths Tutor to join our growing tuition team. The successful candidate will support students across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and exam technique.
You will deliver engaging, structured lessons in a supportive environment, working with small groups of students and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Maths tuition to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons based on the National Curriculum and GCSE specifications.
- Support students in developing their mathematical understanding, confidence and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, including exam technique and revision.
- Identify gaps in students’ knowledge and provide targeted support.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Set and review appropriate homework and independent learning activities.
- Maintain a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and the centre management team.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and attainment.
Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching or tutoring Maths at KS3 and/or GCSE level.
- A passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and adapt teaching approaches.
- Reliable, organised and professional.
- GCSE Maths Grade 7+ or equivalent is desirable; relevant teaching qualifications are advantageous.
